Yes. ACAHS is approved by the Department of Social Development to teach the Personal Support Worker (PSW) Nurse Diploma programs.
Yes. ACAHS is registered under the Private Occupational Training Act (POTA) and the New Brunswick International Student Program (NBISP).
You will be prepared and eligible to work in any setting that employs Personal Support Worker’s.
If your program has a laboratory component you will have access to online virtual labs prior attending your in-person lab experience.
Practicums associated with your program will be coordinated with facilities in your community.
Yes. ACAHS is registered under the Private Occupational Training Act and works closely with the Post-Secondary Training & Labour (PETL) Department. PETL's Labour Force Training program provides funding for most of our programs. Currently they are providing 100% funding for Personal Support Worker programs that meet the provincial certification standards. If you are unemployed or underemployed, funding is available through PETL's Training Skills & Development (TSD) program. Call 1.506.453.2377 to set up an appointment with an Employment Counsellor. Funding is also available through traditional student loans (Student Financial Services) or we can work with you on payment plans.
The start of your semester will depend on your funding source. If you are being funded through the Labour Force Training program or paying out of pocket, you may start anytime and work at your own pace. If you are being funded through traditional student loans, study permit or the Training Skills & Development program, check with us on the next available start date.
We think so! All program costs are curated to ensure the integrity of the program is maintained while the price point is below our competitors. Most programs are designed to be delivered while the student continues their current employment.
No. Only Publicly funded colleges and universities have the authority to issue PGWP's. ACAHS is a Private, Regulated College that works with students and employers to bridge the gap between unemployment and job vacancies.
